Internships & Volunteering

The Department is currently exploring local and international internships avenues for Spanish majors. A list of such internship and volunteering opportunities and related policies will be available once the arrangements are established.

Duties:
Tutoring students preparing for High School AP courses. Translation of newsletter into
Spanish.

Duties: to serve as mentor for at-risk children. School-based (e.g. you go to school and have lunch with child). Community-based (e.g. you go pick up child from home and do things together). Once a week. Minimal Spanish.
 
Samaritan House

This is a non-profit organization in Fort Worth. Its mission is to create a community that supports and provides housing and resources that produce a positive change in the lives of people with HIV/Aids and other special needs.

 

Samaritan House needs student volunteers with a good oral ability in Spanish.
